About

Welcome to my blog about being a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant (ETA) in Germany!

About me:  I’m Liz, a 24-year-old Arkansan who’s moved off to Germany to teach Kinder how to talk American.  I graduated from the University of Arkansas in 2012 (B.A. International Relations, European Studies, and German) and got my M.A. from the Josef Korbel School of International Studies at the University of Denver in 2014.  Now, I’m an ETA at the Pestalozzi-Gymnasium Herne in Herne, and I live right down the road in Bochum.

About the Fulbright Program: The Fulbright Program was established in 1946 by J. William Fulbright to promote international understanding through exchange.  You can learn more about the ETA program here and here.
